Lizardwebs General FAQs

  • Lizardwebs does both computer repair AND websites?
    • Yes. Many years in the corporate world handling server administration as well as heavy duty desktop support, give Lizardwebs a great background for repair. Well, that and having a bunch of Microsoft certified techs on hand…
    • Web work was started in 1995 as a “side project” and grew from there.  Eric has been doing business websites / commercial websites since 1997.
  • Lizardwebs? How in the heck did you come up with THAT name?
    • Yeah… Lizardwebs was started in Lizard Lick, NC – and yes, we DO know Ronnie and Amy of Lizard Lick Towing – and we do their website as well for the TV show “Lizard Lick Towing”. We haven’t strayed too far from our roots. And it’s not “Lizard webs” or “lizard’s web” or “lizards web” or “lizard web”, just Lizardwebs – like spiderwebs!

Computer Repair FAQs

  • Can you repair computers nights and weekends?
    • Yes. By appointment, any time. A lot of work is done before the sun even comes up. We are always there to repair computers when YOU need us!
  • Do we need to sit with the computer technician if they’re working on our computer?
    • No. Be available for questions, but it’s actually best if users don’t hang out right there. It distracts your tech from the work being performed and slows it down. Not to say some extra time for US isn’t a bad thing, but…
  • Can you set me up with XYZ software?
    • If you’ve paid for it and have the license key, sure! Some programs are freeware and Lizardwebs uses those as often as possible and will guide you to those, but please don’t ask us to pirate stuff for you.
  • Can you fix printers?
    • Sometimes. If they’re working properly or just need some software installed to work properly, we can always set them up to work with your computers directly or through your home computer network, but as far as working ON them? Printers can range from pretty simple to needing a thick user manual to figure out. Ask us about your specific model. Honestly a lot of the printers that we see these days are cheaper to replace than to get us out there to look at…

  • Do I need to live in the area to have a website done?
    • No. In fact, we have never actually even met many of our customers.

Misc FAQs

  • Can you help get our Wii or XBox connected?
    • Sure. It’s not our specialty, but they do use standard video and network connections.
